Eatting can kill your workouts

A lot of people are gearing up for the summer and joining gyms and this is great but this is only one part of the equation. I have worked with many different people as a personal trainer and I have found that if you do not eat right you will fail 90% of the time. People seem to think that you can burn a meal off at the gym well this is not true. You can burn a lot of calories at the gym but to think that you can burn off that 800 calorie drink from starbucks think again. You will need to spend an hour on the treadmill for that one drink and if you get a muffin with that you are already half your way to your total calories for the day and that is if you are a man. For all the women out there you just maxed yourself out. The best way to combat this is to find out what you are putting in your body before you eat/drink it because it might be the difference between you losing weight or gaining weight. Every time you eat something think of it as withdrawing money from the bank. You need to stay within your budget! You do not need to count every calorie but just be aware of what you are eating so you don’t reach your max from your first meal of the day.
